GGBC holds Second Annual Catcher’s Camp at O’Hara

Ross Township, PA - The second annual GGBC Catcher’s Camp was held on Saturday, February 23rd at Cardinal O’Hara High School in Tonawanda, NY. Youth league catcher’s participated in a variety of drills during the morning session from 9-11 AM and high school catchers worked out in the afternoon session which was held from 12-2:30 PM.
     “I’m very happy with the what we were able to accomplish in our second year,” said GGBC Director Don Fontana, “the program addressed all aspects of catching, and I’m confident that our campers enjoyed themselves while learning more about the most important position on the baseball field.”
     “This wouldn’t have been possible with Angelo Sciandra’s (Athletic Director, Cardinal O’Hara High School) help, so I’m very grateful to him for letting us use the gym and help our campers prepare for the upcoming season,” added Fontana. Plans for a camp in 2009 will be announced soon.
